Andri Pol – Poliversum
La mostra celebra l’opera di uno tra i più influenti fotoreporter svizzeri degli ultimi decenni. A partire dai tardi anni Ottanta, con le sue immagini e rubriche fotografiche, Andri Pol ha contribuito a definire l’identità visiva di riviste come Das Magazin, Zeit Magazin, Stern e GEO. L’ampia retrospettiva alla Fotostiftung Schweiz presenta un’opera poliedrica fatta di reportage, ritratti e impressioni quotidiane. Scatti raccolti in tutto il mondo, con alcuni temi ricorrenti in Svizzera, Giappone e Cina. Poliversum spazia dai suoi primi lavori agli attuali progetti editoriali e a lungo termine, proponendo immagini singole accanto a impaginazioni per la stampa.
Le fotografie di Pol uniscono profondità, fine umorismo e uno spiccato senso per lo straordinario nel quotidiano. A volte con acume, altre con ironia, documenta persone, luoghi e situazioni. I suoi ritratti appaiono spontanei e allo stesso tempo accuratamente composti. I reportage offrono prospettive sorprendenti su realtà e identità sociali, culturali e politiche. Guided curator tour of the exhibition Andri Pol – Poliversum
In this tour, Lars Willumeit, Director of Fotostiftung Schweiz and curator of the exhibition Andri Pol – Poliversum, provides deeper insights into the development and conception of the exhibition. Using selected works, he discusses key themes, curatorial considerations, and the positioning of Andri Pol’s work within the context of contemporary photography.

Book launch and artist tour of the exhibition Andri Pol – Poliversum
As part of Kulturnacht Winterthur, the publication Welt by Andri Pol will be presented. In conversation with historian Valentin Groebner, who contributed texts to the publication, and curator Lars Willumeit, the artist discusses the making of the book and his photographic practice. Afterwards, Andri Pol leads a tour through the exhibition and offers insights into key works and themes in his oeuvre.
